Support program starts for pregnant women, young moms in Elgin and Oxford counties

Now, pregnant women and new moms can sign up for frequent in-home visits from public health nurses who will help with goal setting and figuring out what to do with a baby. The program, called the Nurse Family Partnership, has been offered in London (Ontario) since 2017. But it’s just launching in Woodstock and St. Thomas as well as Oxford and Elgin counties. There is currently no waitlist. To be eligible, women have to be 28 weeks pregnant or less.
